Admissions Policy

Reception Intake : Academic Year 2019/2020

 

For those parents interested in applying for a place at St Joseph’s Catholic Infant School for the Reception Intake 2019/2020 (those children born between 01.09.2014 & 31.08.2015) the Waltham Forest Primary Booklet containing criteria for all schools and information on how to apply will be available from September 2018.  You will need apply to Waltham Forest Admissions Service for reception place for your child in September 2018.

 

Booklets are available online via the London Borough of Waltham Forest Website or can be obtained directly from Waltham Forest Pupil Admissions, Telephone 020 8496 3000 (or in person, appointments only, to meet with parents-  at The Magistrates, 1 Farnham Avenue, Walthamstow, E17 4NX - Monday 9.30 am - 4.30 pm, Wednesday 9.30am - 4.30pm. (Postal Address only: Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, E17 4JF)

 

Applications can be made on-line from September at www.eadmissions.org.uk and parents are encouraged to use this route if at all possible. Alternatively, a paper application can be submitted using the 'Common Application Form' (CAF) obtainable from Primary Admissions.  If your don't have access to a computer, you can visit a Library Plus branch where you can use a self-service PC to log your request/report. Staff are available to support you if you need it.  The closing date for applications is 15th January 2019.

 

Parents/carers who want to support their application with a copy of the Certificate of Catholic Practice need to make an appointment with their parish priest to obtain and complete the certificate.  The child’s original baptism certificate will also need to be seen by the school. It is the responsibility of the parents /carers to ensure all supporting documentation is returned to the school office on or before the  15th January 2019.

 

Please note that we welcome children of all faiths who are sympathetic to our catholic ethos.
