The benefits of after school activities for children are wide and varied, ranging from physical benefits due to the promotion of increased activity, to psychological and social advantages. Scientific research proves that encouraging children to engage in activities after school could aid their development.

 

Experts in child advancement suggest that participation in extracurricular activities on a regular basis is the best way to help children develop their individual personality, cut down on emotional stress, and enhance social or academic skills that could benefit them in the future.

At St. Josephs we offer a range of school clubs including:-

 

• Cookery
• Gymnastics
• Sewing and Knitting
• Choir
• Street Dance
• Gardening
• Martial Art
• Yoga
• Lego
• Tennis
• Ballet
• Football for all individual year groups from Reception to Year Two
• Art
• Computers/ ICT

 

We also offer academic clubs and interventions as well as a Gifted and Talented Chess Club.

 

Clubs are open to all children and Pupil Premium Children are supported to take advantage of the benefits of our after school provision.

 

In addition we also offer a Breakfast and Tea Time Club on a daily basis.  Booking forms are available from the school office.

 

Breakfast Club runs from 7.45am.

 

Teatime Club runs from 3.20-6pm
