  • Mother's Day Assembly

    ‘ A mother is your first friend, your best friend and your forever friend’.  Thank you to every who steps in to be a mother from every child.  Our Assembly was full of songs, drama and poetry.  Class 4 brought everyone to tears (in a good way) with their drama and song.

    ‘ God could not be everywhere so he made mothers’

     

    How true this quote is and so to show our Mothers and Grandmothers how much we love them the Reception children decided to have a Mother’s Day Tea and share some work with them.  The children ( and mothers) enjoyed this special time together.  In today’s busy world it is not often that we stop to  appreciate those we hold dear.  We hope you enjoy our pictures. Quote from a child ‘ When I grow up I want to be like my mum!’.

  • Forensic Science Workshop March 2019

    Who stole the Dog?  The children enjoyed using their detection skills to examine evidence to see who had stolen the dog.  They looked at finger prints and other clues left at the "crime scene" to deduce who the police needed to arrest.
  • World Book Week 2019

    The children enjoyed a busy activity filled week.  It begun by guessing Who's Who's with photographs of teachers hidden behind books.  Children enjoyed reading lots of different texts and earning "Golden Tickets" for additional privileges if they were caught reading in their own time.  Children took part in a book/drama workshop focusing on The Stick Man, We're going on a Bear Hunt and George's Marvellous Medicine.  The popular Roald Dahl book George's Marvellous Medicine was the focus of a fantastic science workshop where the children learnt about gravity and chemical reactions.
