• International Day 2019

  On 27^th June we came together as a community to celebrate our diversity but also to stand united in our belief that there should be equality for all. The Teachers all prepared a variety of international dishes for the children’s food tasting. One year two child asked if this could happen every day! There was a real buzz in school. Parents wore their national dresses and the children performed some wonderful dances, stories and prayers. International day showed how strong our school community really is.

  

• Reception Picnic

  As a family school we are always looking at ways to welcome our parents so as soon as the summer began Reception packed their bags and headed off to Jubilee Park for a picnic. Parents enjoyed seeing the children laughing  and playing with their friends.  Friendship is a great gift and it was a privilege to see it in action.

  

• Little Explorers

  This year we wanted to reach out more to our younger community and launched our Little Explorers for pre-school children. This parent and child drop in session gives parents the opportunity to see what our school is life for children from Nursery upwards. They have the opportunity to play and interact both indoors and outdoors and make new friends. Parents are able to join in and play or just enjoy a chat with staff and/ other parents. There is no need to book so if you know someone who might enjoy this please let them know.

• Bread Making

  As always, Nursery is very hands on and making bread as part of the Little Red Hen was no exception. From kneading, shaping, baking and eating the bread  the children did everything. Parent feedback was very positive and several parents even asked for the recipe.

  St. Joseph's Sports Day 2019 - Looking forward to the Olympics in future years: hopefully we will see some of our children competing!
