Reception Intake : Academic Year 2021/2022
Parents and carers wishing to apply for a place at St Joseph’s Catholic Infant School for the Reception Intake 2021/2022 (children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017) will find all the information they need in the Waltham Forest Primary Booklet which is available on the Waltham Forest Website www.walthamforest.gov.uk.
You are encouraged to apply on-line from September at www.eadmissions.org.uk; alternatively, a paper application can be submitted using the 'Common Application Form' (CAF) available from the Council’s Admissions Service. As well as completing an application to the Council, you will also need to complete an application to the school (called a Supplementary Information Form) which can also be downloaded from the Waltham Forest Website or obtained from the school office.
If your do not have access to a computer, the borough’s libraries provide a self-service computer and library staff will assist you to register and log on. You are also welcome to ask our school office staff for help. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2021.
St Joseph’s Catholic Infant School is an inclusive school and welcomes children of all faiths and none, who embrace our Catholic ethos. We have 60 places in each year group, but if we receive more than 60 applications, baptised Catholic children and children of other denominations will be given priority, as explained in our admissions policy. Therefore, if your child has been baptised, submitting their baptismal certificate with your application will help secure their place.
The school’s admission criteria are contained in the Waltham Forest Primary Booklet, the School Prospectus and in the School's Admissions Policy, which can be downloaded from our website or obtained from the school office. There is a right of appeal should your application be unsuccessful.
