Headteacher's Welcome

A very warm welcome to the Federated Schools of St Joseph's, voluntary aided schools within the Diocese of Brentwood. Our schools are vibrant, happy schools in the heart of Leyton, where all children are nurtured to achieve to their highest potential.

As Headteacher, I am privileged to work alongside a dedicated team of staff, who strive to provide a rich and varied curriculum to enrich our children’s lives. Collectively, we provide a nurturing environment for our children to grow and flourish to become independent, curious and resilient learners. We challenge our children to achieve their very best through an ethos of positive praise and encouragement, setting high expectations, and providing the right level of support when needed. We strive for all our children to be the very best they can be to succeed in primary school and beyond; developing a passion for life long learning along the way.

Our Catholic ethos and Mission Statement, 'Together we grow and learn in God's love' underpins the mutual respect we have for each other which is lived out in our daily lives. We are proud to have a school rich in culture, where we celebrate diversity and welcome families from all religious and non-religious backgrounds. St Joseph's represents a community school at its best.

At St Joseph's, we see ourselves as socially responsible citizens, who are here to make a difference. Our children are artists, authors, mathematicians, scientists and explorers.  They make a valuable contribution to the world we live in through their kindness and generosity towards others. Our children are the finest ambassadors of our schools.

I warmly invite you to come and visit our wonderful schools and see for yourself what makes our schools such a special place to grow and learn.

Warmest regards,

M. D'Souza
