Jubilee Year 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
This year Pope Francis’ requests that the global Catholic community celebrate a year of Jubilee in 2025, entitled Pilgrims of Hope. The theme of 'Hope' comes from knowing we are loved by God, the hope we can bring to those in most need, and the hope we can bring to our common home, the earth. This is underpinned by the Catholic social teaching principle ' The Common Good' where everyone is special and should be treated as such.
As we journey through this jubilee year together, St Joseph's Federation will be reflecting on the meaning of hope and what we hope for locally, nationally and globally. 'The Common Good' is about respecting the rights and responsibilities of all people and leaving no one behind. Global communities are invited to celebrate the Jubilee year with “deep faith, lively hope and active charity.”
Our RE Ambassadors, School Councillors, House Captains, staff , parents, parish and governors will be working together with external agencies such as CAFOD and Caritas to support those who are most vulnerable and in need.
