St Joseph's follows the Religious Education Curriculum Directory (RECD) as specified by the Bishops Conference of England and Wales,' To Know You More Dearly'. Through this directory, the children are taught the basics of Catholic faith and morality, with constant reference to their own life experience. 

St Joseph's are inclusive and diverse schools and welcomes families of all religious faiths and none. As such, pupils also learn about other world religions such as Islam and Judaism as part of the programme of study and celebrate all the main world religions on World Religion Day.
