History Character Day 2018
Fri 16 Nov 2018On Monday 26th November St. Joseph's Infant School welcomed a variety of people from Albert Einstein, Nelson Mandela, Emperor Cesar Augustus, Agatha Christie and Elvis. Our annual History Character day was another success. The children enjoyed talking about their chosen character and seeing how creative some of the costumes were. Thank-you to parents who sewed, glued and supported their children with this.

Remembrance Day

Visit to St Joseph's Parish Church
Mon 05 Nov 2018The children in Reception and Year 1 were welcomed into our parish church by Father Bijoy. He talked to the children about Baptism and role played Baptising a doll. The children were very excited and talked about this experience which helped to develop their understanding and appreciation of the sacrament of Baptism. -
Music
Fri 19 Oct 2018If music be the food of life .... play on.
The children really enjoyed their drumming experience and played the drums literally all day to the delight of the staff! On a positive note they were harmonious; we have some potential musicians in our midst.

Harvest Assembly
Thu 18 Oct 2018We believe Harvest is a time to think of others. The children and their families were very generous and we were able to make donations to the food bank as well as residents at Etloe House and also support some members of our community. -
Playground Opening
Mon 08 Oct 2018Two children won the ballot to officially open our new playground area. This area has been further enhanced with a wall mural detailing our Growth Mindset words. Since opening this new area the children have had lots of fun exploring and playing with their friends. -
Reading Morning
Mon 01 Oct 2018Parents joined their children for a reading breakfast as part of an initiative to encourage parent and child reading. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event we look forward to seeing you next time. -
Countryside Live
Fri 21 Sep 2018Please enjoy Year 2 pictures of our Countryside Live trip. The children enjoyed racing the ferrets and a horse and cart ride. -

Enrichment for the start of the new academic year
Fri 07 Sep 2018The children began the new academic year by exploring Cubism through Picasso's work in Year 2 and Pop Art by the Artist Lichtenstein. Please enjoy some examples of their work.
