• Science Day

  The children had an important task; they needed to discover who had "stolen" the school laptop.  They looked for clues, examined finger prints and used their skills of deduction to solve the mystery.

  

• Royal Wedding Picnic

  Today the children joined together in the playground to enjoy a picnic in celebration of the Royal Wedding.  The children dressed in Red, White and Blue and learnt about the Royal Family.  Some children even dressed up in wedding clothes!

  

• David Lucas Visit

  The children's author David Lucas came to visit the school today to share his fantastic stories and animations with us!  He left the children with wonderful memories, illustrations and ideas for their own story writing.  We think we have some budding authors in school!

  

• Atinuke's Visit

  The children enjoyed listening to Atinuke's wonderful story telling.  She explored Anna Hibiscus and The No 1 Car Spotter and talked to the children about how to become an Author.

  

• Stations of the Cross

  In Whales we have enjoyed coming together for reflective worship at a special time in the year.  We have enjoyed designing our own Easter eggs, making Easter Cards and Easter Baskets!

  At the beginning of the week Year 2 fantastically performed "The Stations of the Cross" to the school and parents.

  

• World Book Day 2018

  This year St Joseph’s celebrated World Book Day with a difference.  Instead of dressing up the children were challenged to think of clues to their favourite story.  They then shared these clues with each other and tried to guess the title of the book.  The teachers also joined in.  Please enjoy our photographs and try to guess the book titles.

  

• Forensic Week

  In March children across the whole school enjoyed joining in with science experiments during our Forensic Workshops.  

  A "crime" had been committed and the children had to work together to solve the clues and find the culprit!
