Royal Visit
Wed 06 Nov 2019The children welcomed His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent to our school as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations. The Duke joined school staff and dignitaries for a light lunch asking about the curriculum and the enrichment activities that the children are able to experience. He visited every class, meeting staff and chatting to children about their anniversary activities. At the end of his visit the Duke, mayor of Waltham Forest and the Deputy Lieutenant for Waltham Forest joined the whole school for a special assembly.
Quotes
‘The Duke made many complimentary remarks on the way to our next visit. I thought you were excellent.
From my perspective, I think the children are fantastic and in these days where it is easy to become overtaken by negativity, your school is a beacon of positivity.’
Royal Protection Officer
'.. I can say what a pleasure and a privilege it was to be involved in today's visit by the Duke of Kent. You and your team (including Honey!) can be really proud of the high standard of education and care you deliver to the fascinating and diverse community of children - the sense of purposeful happiness was a joy to feel.
Chatting in the car going to the next location, HRH very clearly shared this view.’ Deputy Lieutenant for Waltham Forest
‘ Please invite me back; this is an amazing school’

Michael Rosen
Wed 30 Oct 2019Michael Rosen Came to Our School!
We’ve had the pleasure of having Michael Rosen come to our school. The children really enjoyed his story telling, especially ‘Outside toilet’ and ‘Chocolate cake’. The adults as well as the children were inspired by him. He has really helped to spread the love of reading in our school! Thank you to all the parents that came along after school to visit him.
